HOUSE RULES – CARS ’N JOY FESTIVAL 2026
These house rules apply to all visitors of Cars ’n Joy. By entering the event grounds, you automatically agree to the provisions below.
- General
- Cars ’n Joy reserves the right to change the event policy and these house rules at any time.
- The organization may refuse or deny access to visitors at any time when deemed necessary for safety, order, or compliance with these rules.
- Entering the event is entirely at your own risk.
- Tickets & Access
- A valid ticket provides one-time entry. After scanning the ticket, the following applies: once you’re in, you’re in. Re-entry is not permitted.
- Tickets will not be exchanged, refunded, or canceled.
- Visitors must be able to identify themselves with a valid, legally recognized ID.
- The organization may refuse access in case of inappropriate behavior, intoxication, or when safety is at stake.
- Safety & Security Searches
- At the request of security, every visitor must cooperate with a superficial security search.
- Refusing a search automatically means access will be denied.
- CCTV and other crowd management systems may be used for safety purposes.
- Instructions from security and staff must be followed immediately at all times.
- Prohibited Items & Substances
The following items are strictly prohibited on the event grounds:
- Drugs (possession, use, and trade)
- Nitrous oxide / laughing gas
- Weapons or objects that can be used as weapons
- Own food and drinks, alcohol, glassware, cans, bottles
- Flammable materials
- Professional photography and video equipment without press accreditation
If prohibited substances or weapons are found, the organization will cooperate with police and law enforcement.
- Code of Conduct on the Grounds
- Visitors should not hinder others; aggression and intimidation will not be tolerated.
- Anyone who misbehaves will be immediately removed from the grounds.
- When entering and leaving the event, consideration must be shown to local residents; causing a nuisance is not permitted.
- Damage caused to vehicles, materials, or property will be recovered from the perpetrator.
- CCTV, Photo & Video
- Photo and video recordings are made on and around the event grounds.
- By entering, visitors give permission for these images to be used by Cars ’n Joy for promotional and informative purposes, without any claim to compensation.
- (Semi-)professional photo and video equipment is not permitted without prior press accreditation.
- Compact cameras and action cameras (such as GoPro) are allowed; selfie sticks are not permitted.
- Own Risk, Liability & Health
- Visiting Cars ’n Joy is at your own risk. The organization is not liable for:
- damage, loss, or theft of property;
- physical injury;
- hearing damage;
- technical malfunctions or inaccuracies in communicated information.
- Visitors are advised to wear hearing protection; this is available on the grounds.
- Leaving valuables unattended is entirely at your own responsibility.
- Medical Situations & Medication
- Visitors carrying medication that differs from regular personal medication must report this to security.
- If necessary, security will refer you to First Aid, where medication can be checked or safely stored.
- For special situations, it is advised to contact us in advance via info@carsnjoy.nl.
- Accessibility (Disabled Visitors)
- Cars ’n Joy is accessible to disabled visitors. Where necessary, wider passages and adapted facilities are provided.
- Disabled toilets are always available.
- Wheelchairs and crutches are permitted.
- Visitors may not bring their own chairs, even in cases of limited mobility; the organization provides sufficient seating.
- Pets
- Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the grounds, with the exception of recognized assistance dogs.
- Commercial Activities
- Carrying out commercial activities, sampling, or flyering without written permission from Cars ’n Joy is prohibited.
- Violations will lead to immediate removal from the grounds.
- Other
- Cars ’n Joy is accessible to all ages.
- The organization reserves the right to remove visitors for violating these house rules without a refund of the ticket.
Automotive Section
Driver & Vehicle Behavior at and around the Event
- Rules of conduct for drivers and vehicles
- Cars ’n Joy is a family-friendly event. Drivers presenting their vehicle, participating in activities, or moving around the grounds must behave responsibly and respectfully at all times.
- All vehicles on the event grounds are subject to the instructions of the organization, marshals, and security. These instructions are binding.
- Prohibited driving behavior
On and around the event grounds, the following behaviors, among others, are strictly prohibited:
- Unnecessary hard acceleration or braking
- Burn-outs, drifting, or other stunts
- Making unnecessary noise with the engine or exhaust (revving)
- Use of non-approved pops & bangs / crackle maps
- Driving with squealing or slipping tires
- Speeding beyond the permitted limit
- Driving without valid insurance or license plate
Violation will result in immediate removal from the grounds, without refund.
- Noise restriction for vehicles
- Noise nuisance from vehicles is not permitted, unless this takes place within an official demonstration, parade, or activity designated by the organization.
- A noise test may be required at the request of the organization.
- The organization reserves the right to refuse a vehicle access if excessive noise production is suspected.
- Traffic behavior on routes to and from the event
- Visitors and participants must adhere to all traffic rules on public roads leading to the event.
- Antisocial driving behavior on roads around the event (e.g., noise, dangerous maneuvers, street racing, drifting) will not be tolerated.
- If such behavior is observed, the organization actively cooperates with police and law enforcement.
- License plate numbers will be passed on to the police and municipality.
- Official activities & demonstrations
- Only activities previously approved, tolerated, or designated by Cars ’n Joy (such as demos, parades, show moments) are permitted.
- Outside these fixed moments, the following applies: idling and normal driving only.
- Participants are required to follow the instructions of the technical crew or marshals.
- Sanctions for violations
In case of violation of the above rules, one or more of the following measures may be taken:
- Immediate removal from the event grounds
- Revocation of wristband / ticket, without right to refund
- Registration in an internal incident register
- Banning from future editions
- Passing on license plate numbers and footage to the police
- Possible fines according to the Road Traffic Act and local regulations, including:
- Causing unnecessary noise (fines up to €450+)
- Dangerous driving behavior (fines up to €1,000+ and suspension of driver’s license)
- Drifting / skidding on public roads (fines €400–€1,000+, vehicle seizure possible)
- Liability
- Drivers are fully responsible for any damage caused by their vehicle.
- The organization can never be held liable for damage resulting from reckless, dangerous, or prohibited driving behavior.
- Participants bringing vehicles are required to ensure their vehicle is MOT-approved and insured.
